You are invited to an historic event in Locke, California this Saturday, December 11.  The land is finally being transferred from the government to the people.  We've waited almost a century for this!

Locke residents were not allowed to buy land because of their being Asian Pacific American.  California's Alien Land Law prohibited APAs from owning land.

This Saturday marks the first time EVER that Locke residents will be able to own their own land.  Sacramento County & SHRA will be transferring land ownership to residents.

Witness history!   Though the event is small in scale, it is huge in historic significance.

Locke is a Sacramento Delta town and a National Historic Landmark for being this country's last remaining rural Chinese American town.  Locke recently received a prestigious Save America's Treasures federal grant for preserving its boarding house, which will hopefully become a Locke Museum.
